Project No. 002PU-4/2020: Design of a methodology to assess the quality of life of patients with multiple sclerosis
The aim of the project is to investigate the multidimensionality of MS patients’ quality of life. Based on the current state of the subject matter, there is an absence of an evaluation tool (its subsequent verification for Slovak conditions), which would take the specific needs and changes in quality of life of the SM patient into account. The expected benefit for the social sphere is to verify and validate a uniform and internationally accepted methodology for assessing the quality of life of patients with MS, MSQOL-54 (Multiple Sclerosis Quality of Life) with the acceptance of his/her bio-psycho-social needs. The project focuses on higher education in nursing, midwifery and health sciences for students, clinical and research staff.
Project No. 003PU-4/2021: Chronic Wound Care Simulation Centre
The main objective of the project is to create a Simulation Centre for Chronic Wound Care. An important part of the project is the creation of an educational module and the creation of a standard for the care of chronic wounds. In the context of creating an educational program, the team develops publications (textbooks, articles, manuals), care maps, presentations and workshops that will be part of undergraduate, postgraduate and continual education. The project also includes research aimed at preventing decubitus using the latest recommendations in cooperation with national and international professional organizations and institutions. The team aims to present the results at national and international professional forums.
